Yeah, I’m hopeful that it will be a streamlined process too. Totally agree that bureaucracy is a massive problem. Also, it is my personal hope that we are moving closer to electing Tyson as US President, & eventually on to President of the World.

I wish Tyson could’ve talked more instead of Stewart dragging out the commentary. I’ve been a bit skeptical of the new company saying they’ll ‘solve the world’s problems’. Let’s see how long this thing takes to be safe & profitable.
Yeah, it kinda sucks that he was only there for like 30sec. But it’s neat that he’s randomly showed up on the show so many times.
I think it might actually be a good thing that asteroid mining and space tech are being investigated by millionaires and corporations, rather than only by government agencies, because there’s a better chance (nowadays) they could actually get stuff accomplished. They’re passionate about it, and they don’t have many of the sorts of bureaucratic BS that would happen if this was a government enterprise; they can do something just because it’s “cool” or they think it’s worthwhile, and not necessarily have to go with the cheapest or simplest options all the time (unlike the government, which has to think about budgeting for healthcare and education and infrastructure and defense and then maybe funding space research).
