30 Day Evangelion Challenge
Day 9: Favourite Fight
That goes to the epic battle against Zeruel at the end of 2.22. Asuka’s battle with the MP Evas nearly won it, but this one nicked it for me because it took so much to beat it (Beast mode Unit 02 couldn’t do it, Rei and Unit 00 couldn’t defeat it even with Unit 02’s help, it took Unit 01’s “God Mode” to defeat it and even then it was incredibly risky and could have had serious consequences (never know, it might still have). In short, totally epic and my pick for favourite fight :-)
just watched this cus i wanted to wait till i could buy it on blueray, it was fucking awesome!
Zeruel’s redesign for the Rebuild series was pretty cool. I also loved how they replaced Rei’s handheld N² Mine with a giant fuck-off ICBM that she still delivers by hand, with its engines blazing.
