One of the things I love about the Uncharted series is how Drake verbally reacts to everything that is going on, unlike most games, where the protagonist is usually silent unless they’re grunting in pain or Important Dialogue is Happening. It’s a little thing, but having him go “Oh no no no no” or “Oh crap”, whenever an enemy grenade lands nearby and is about to explode gives him a lot of depth an believability as a character. Because, in real life, we’d probably all be yelling and screaming if it happened to us.
